Alternative media successful in promoting false narratives about corruption

Coalition parties and "alternative" media have been successful in promoting narratives about corruption and the rule of law, an analysis by Transparency International shows. Fully 45% of Slovaks were persuaded that the risk of election rigging was real (43% disagree), President Zuzana Čaputová serves foreign interests according to 60% (36%), and the trial in the murder case of journalist Ján Kuciak was influenced by media pressure according to 57% (32%), according to an October Focus poll.
