A single bank manager in Slovakia earned over €1m in 2021

A single bank manager in Slovakia earned over €1m in 2021, a European Banking Authority report shows. It has been publishing this data since 2010, when there was also a single such high earner here. The number of bankers in the EU with a salary above the €1m threshold was 42% higher annually in 2021, at almost 2,000, as banks moved some activities from London to the EU post-Brexit. Most are in Germany (589), France (371) and Italy (351).
