Some 64% of Slovaks prefer the country be aligned with the West and 19% prefer an orientation towards Russia, according to a Focus agency poll. The current government's foreign policy, which isolates Slovakia from Western partners and spreads Russian narratives, goes against the majority opinion of Slovaks. Just 33% of Slovaks are satisfied with the government's foreign policy, while 55% are dissatisfied. Slovaks support the formation of a "coalition of the willing" for the common defense of Europe; 54% support it, while 31% oppose it. The government abstained from the initiative.
