NBS is not working on new regulation for corporate bills and bonds
The central bank NBS is not working on new regulation for corporate bills and bonds sold to retail clientele. It deems the current regulation sufficient. Similarly, the Finance Ministry would be cautious on introducing new regulations. They might push for more up-to-date and detailed provision of information about the financial performance of bond issuers.
The issue of new regulation popped up after Arca Capital defaulted on some of its bills and bonds; investors poured €750m into its debt products and many will lose most of the investment.
