Mochovce completed early in 2021
“If everything goes well, SE will start putting nuclear fuel into the third bloc of the Mochovce nuclear power plant at the beginning of 2021,“ reckons Karol Galek, Deputy Economy Minister. Before the pandemic, the deadline was April 2020, but then the need for further repairs emerged and the pandemic slowed down the process. The current completion budget of €5.7bn should be enough to complete the third bloc, but Galek says it remains to be seen whether it will suffice for the completion of the fourth bloc as well.
