Glass maker Rona keeps investing

Lednické Rovne-based glass maker Rona posted a €4.1m net profit on €73m in revenue last year. This year, it is investing €5m, mainly into automation and energy savings. During the pandemic, demand from restaurants, hotels and airlines plummeted and in April, it only used 30% of its capacity. Machine production is still a third lower annually, while hand production is down just 10%. It employs 1,200.
