The police raided the ÚV cabinet office as well as eGovernment agency Nases on Tuesday, as it suspects illegal monitoring of the government network Govnet. It found suspicious devices at some servers and is now examining them. Govnet carries the electronic and voice communications of president, ministers, judges and prosecutors, among others. The monitoring could be the work of foreign intelligence agencies or someone in the private sector. Deputy PM Veronika Remišová (Za ľudí) wrote about “suspicion of a threat to strategic security and the interests of the state.”
