First part of the Bratislava highway bypass to open in August
The Transport Ministry expects the first part of the Bratislava highway bypass, from Dunajská Streda to Bratislava, to open in August and send the first payment, €8.1m, to the consortium led by Cintra this year. Initially, the first part was to open this spring, but the ministry argues it is not ready yet. The full payment once the entire bypass is completed is €52.8m and the state will pay for 30 years. The initial completion date was October this year, but the second part, from Jarovce to Rača, will be completed next year.
