Penta leaves food business, is selling Mecom meat processor

Before the onset of the pandemic Penta launched the sale of Carnibona Holdings, its meat processing plants in Slovakia and Hungary that has €131m in annual sales and 1,400 staff, said its partner, Iain Child. He wants to complete the sale early next year. The group plans to leave the food market in two years. Next year it also plans to sell its 50% stake in Iglotex, the largest frozen food maker and distributor in Poland, with annual sales of €234m and 2,400 staff.
