Banks want changes in moratorium on bankruptcies
Banks will lobby parliament to make changes to the government-approved moratorium on bankruptcies. They want the moratorium, in effect until the end of September, to apply only to new debts and not to old claims. Companies demanding the protection should submit a list of all liabilities and assets. Banks also want greater protection of creditors and accountability of company owners and representatives. They warn that over-protection of debtors will diminish their willingness to lend.
