Photovoltaic power plants lost subsidies due to small debts towards SP
Utilities regulator ÚRSO published a list of over 100 renewable producers (mostly photovoltaic power plants) that have lost subsidies since April 2014, some €200m in total. They lost the subsidies because of debts to social insurer SP. The local photovoltaic association is protesting the move. It says some of the power plants owed just small sums for a limited period and now will go bust without the subsidies (they can’t survive without them).
