Parliament approved the first measures to fight the pandemic. The state will reimburse troubled companies full gross wages of their employees and sole traders will get support too; conditions will be set later by the government. During Covid-19 quarantine, sickness benefits will be paid by social insurer SP (employers pay the first ten days at present) and the benefit will come to 55% of gross wage (25%) during the first three days. A nursing benefit will not be limited (it is capped at 14 days at present). The costs for wage reimbursements are yet to be specified; the benefits will cost €338.5m extra this year.
