Volkswagen to stop production

Volkswagen confirmed it will pause production in its plants in Bratislava, Stupava and Martin on Tuesday at the latest. Several of its workers have been quarantined, but none was infected with Covid-19. About 12,000 of its workers will stay home, plus many more in its suppliers. The Nitra plant of Jaguar Land Rover will keep production, while Kia Motors in Žilina and PSA in Trnava have so far not commented on their plans.
