Vacuumlabs (Matej Ftáčnik, Samuel Hapák, Tomáš Kulich and Maroš Zeleňák) reported a €0.4m net profit last year and its sales jumped 79% to €8.4m. It employs local coders, designers, and developers, who help companies around the globe to develop banking and fintech solutions. For instance, it is helping the global bank Standard Chartered to set up a digital bank in Hong Kong. It employs 230 and aspires to add 100 workers this year. It has seven offices in five countries. One of its spin-offs is the Sparring law firm, offering legal advice to technology start-ups.
Ftáčnik won the EY Tech Entrepreneur of the Year 2019.
