Head of the personal data protection authority ÚOOÚ is Kočner’s friend

Soňa Pőtheová, head of the personal data protection authority ÚOOÚ, exchanged over 50 friendly messages with Kočner via Whatsapp in 2014-18. In 2006, she worked for Kočner. Last year, ÚOOÚ threatened to levy a €10m fine on journalists for publishing information about Kočner and demanded they reveal their sources. When Kočner published journalists’ personal information in 2017, Pőtheová did not impose any sanctions.
