Slovakia will add 1,100 MW of photovoltaic and wind power plants
In order to reduce emissions, Slovakia undertook to add 1,100 MW of renewable power plant capacity by 2030. The recently called auction for 30 MW will therefore be followed by others. Further auctions are expected to add 500 MW wind turbines and 700 MW photovoltaic parks. Besides solar and wind power plants, other renewables won’t be built, as biogas and geothermal power plants produce more expensive electricity.
