Slovakia has the 15th most complex economy in the world in terms of diversity and sophistication of its exports, according to Harvard University’s Economic Complexity Index. More complex economies are better able to withstand economic crises and trade wars. Together with Czechia (6th) and Hungary (10th), Slovakia has many plants of foreign firms that export sophisticated products to Germany.
