New petition to ban gambling parlors in Bratislava
Bratislava mayor Matúš Vallo and city part mayors and councilors all support the new petition to ban gambling parlors in the city. They say gambling has a “substantial negative impact on people and society.“ Activists launched the new petition under the banner Stop Gambling. Based on a similar petition signed by 100,000 city dwellers, the city banned gambling in 2017. The Bratislava Regional Court overruled the ban a year later, as the city passed the ban after a repeat illegal vote.
