Continental won’t reduce its workforce in Slovakia

The planned cutbacks at German Continental that will cost 20,000 jobs won’t impact its Slovak plants in Púchov and Zvolen. The three plants employ 5,600 in total and had €2bn sales last year. Continental Matador Rubber in Púchov is among the TOP5 largest European car tire makers. Continental Matador Truck Tires is the largest maker of truck and bus tires in Europe. The Zvolen plant makes car brake components.
