Wildcat Discovery Technologies to build a €100m car battery plant in Western Slovakia
Slovak company InoBat signed an agreement with US-based Wildcat Discovery Technologies (WDT) on joint development and production of car batteries. WDT is considering building a new €100m battery plant in Western Slovakia. Construction should be launched in the second quarter of 2020. Its clients include Apple, Samsung and BMW, and the new plant would supply car plants in the CEE region. Its target capacity is 150,000 batteries annually with a capacity of 10 GWh. The plant will apply for financing from the European Investment Bank.
