Containex expands in Slovakia

Austrian maker of freight and living containers Containex is planning a €14m investment into expanding the capacity of its Komárno plant called SK-Cont. The current annual capacity of 20,000 containers will increase by 50% thanks to the addition of a new paint shop, production hall, and warehouse. The plant’s workforce will increase by 100 to 320. The project should be completed in mid-2020. Back in 2017, SK-Cont posted a 18% drop in net profit to €1.6m, and its sales rose 22% to €28.3m.
