Generali in talks with MetLife to buy its assets in Central Europe

Italian insurer Generali is in talks with US insurer MetLife to buy its assets in Poland, Czechia, Hungary, and Romania, according to sources of Bloomberg. Both insurers are present in Slovakia, too. MetLife operates as a subsidiary of Ireland’s insurer.
