New plant making plywood, wooden insulation panels, and wood-plastic materials

Richard Marko, Maroš Grund (shareholders of Eset) and Ján Šestina are building a new plant making plywood, wooden insulation panels, and wood-plastic materials in Žarnovica. They aspire to invest €120m, have €1bn annual sales and 1,000 workers, and to be Slovakia’s largest processor of quality beech wood. The plant will launch production at the end of this year with 100 workers. The workforce should increase to 500 over several years. They already have a biomass power plant in Žarnovica, called Energy Edge ZC, with annual sales of €10m.
