Further delay in the Mochovce nuclear power plant’s third bloc completion
Power generator Slovenské elektrárne will shortly announce a 6-month delay in the Mochovce nuclear power plant’s third bloc completion to the end of 2019, say sources of the Trend weekly. The recent hot hydro-test that simulates real operations but without nuclear fuel revealed some glitches that will need addressing. This might lead to an increase in the completion budget from the most recent €5.4bn. Nuclear power plant projects in Finland and France face similar issues and are also over time and budget.
