Inter-city bus market is undergoing consolidation

The inter-city bus market is undergoing consolidation. Czech RegioJet (Radim Jančura) is discussing cooperation with French BlaBlaBus, which does not have its own buses, but leases capacity from other carriers. German FlixBus is acquiring bus carrier Eurolines (all are active in Slovakia too). Two weeks ago, FlixBus agreed to lease capacity from the Nitra-based carrier Turancar. This agreement expanded FlixBus’ offering by 260 lines in Western and Central Slovakia.
