Volkswagen will cut its 14,000-strong workforce by 2,000 this year
The Bratislava Volkswagen plant will cut its 14,000-strong workforce by 2,000 this year, according to sources of the Trend weekly. Production volume need not change since the massive investments of past years have improved the plant’s productivity. The plant’s output will very much depend on demand, which is suffering due to weak sales in Western Europe and China.
