Banks have no immediate plans to launch instant payments

The central bank NBS made a platform for instant payments available to banks as of November 30, 2018, but no bank has taken up the offer so far. Several banks are interested and may launch the instant payments in 2020. They argue that implementing them is a financial and technological challenge.
