Real estate price growth is slowing down
The price of residential real estate was 4% higher annually in the third quarter, at €1,433 per sqm, reported the central bank NBS. The growth pace was the slowest since the first quarter of 2016, partly due to tighter credit standards. NBS therefore expects a further slowdown in the coming quarters. In Bratislava, prices were down compared to 2Q, from €1,981 to €1,950. They were 2.6% higher under an annual comparison. Given the steep rises in wages, the affordability of housing has improved.
