Medusa Group feeds VW workers and faces tax evasion charges

The Bratislava plant of Volkswagen has recently extended its contract with local catering Medusa Group (Peter Štecko) for another five years. Medusa Group runs canteens at the plant, and has 400 workers there. Last year, it won a similar contract for the Amazon logistics center in Sereď and is in talks with several other large industrial plants. Last year, Medusa Group broke even on record sales of €17m.

The police have launched a probe into suspicions of tax evasion of Medusa Group. Last year, the tax authority FS raided several of its restaurants, which were suspect of issuing fake receipts. The company admits some technical glitches, but the police apparently think otherwise.
