Banks will not have to provide information about all account transactions

The Finance Ministry abandoned a proposal obliging banks to send information of all transactions of companies and individuals to the tax authority FS once a year. It put forward the proposal to fight tax evasion more effectively, but backed down after fierce resistance from companies concerning bank secrecy and intrusion into privacy.
