Kazakh firm won huge railway contract
A consortium of Kazakh firm Integra and its Italian subsidiary Todina won the tender to renovate rail track between Bratislava and Czech border. The state operator of rail infrastructure, Železnice SR, admitted its bid after trying to throw it out for a year. The consortium bid €217m, while ŽSR expected a price of €305m. Váhostav bid €274m.
Integra also submitted the lowest bid in the tender to renovate rail tracks near Poprad, totaling €91m. ŽSR expected price of €96m.
