Asahi invests in Veľký Šariš

Brewery Plzeňský Prazdroj Slovensko, owned by Asahi of Japan, plans to invest €4.4m in a new can line and a filtration line in its plant in Veľký Šariš. The investment won’t create any new jobs, but will increase the capacity of the can line by a third to 22,000 hl a month. The brewery is No.2 in Slovakia after Heineken. Last year, it increased its Slovak sales by 5% to 1.5m hectoliters of beer. Asahi is investing €33m in its Czech breweries.
