Ján Sabol has acquired Petroltrans

A group led by Ján Sabol has acquired Petroltrans, one of Slovakia’s largest oil products wholesalers. The anti-trust authority PMÚ is reviewing the deal. Sabol says he wants to develop the company further, in Slovakia as well as abroad. Petroltrans has been on the market since 2011 and in 2016, with owners from Ukraine, it reported a €1m net profit on €262.4m sales.

Sabol’s key asset is Envien Group, the largest biofuel maker in Central Europe, with plants in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Croatia.
