Nestlé invests in Prievidza
At the end of last year, Nestlé launched production at three old production lines it brought from Austria in its plant in Prievidza. A further two lines will launch production in March. The unspecified investment will increase workforce by 25 to 613. The number of the plant’s products will jump by 120 to 600. The new lines will mainly produce goods for hotels, restaurants, and school or company cafeterias. Last year, the plant increased wages by 29% and a further 9.5% wage hike is planned for this year. In 2016, Nestlé Slovensko improved its net profit 31% to €9.6m and its sales stagnated at €163.6m.
