GDP growth up to 3.4%
The Slovak economy rose 3.4% in 2017, according to the flash estimate of the statistics office ŠÚ. In the final quarter of 2017, the seasonally adjusted growth came to 3.6%, the highest pace since the beginning of 2016 when the growth was supported by the final sprint to spend EU funds for the 2007-13 period. Last year’s growth pace was the 13th highest in the EU. This year, economic growth is set to accelerate slightly.
