Local wagon maker Tatravagónka Poprad (Alexej Beljajev and Michal Lazar) wants to increase its stake in Indian machinery firm Jupiter Group from the current 26% to 50%. Tatravagónka acquired its first 13% stake in 2015. Jupiter Group makes rail wagons and parts for wagons and other rail technologies. It is the largest wagon supplier for the Indian railways.
Tatravagónka itself is for sale, and according to unofficial reports, Czech-Slovak logistics group Budamar is to acquire a 50% stake.
