Púchovský mäsový priemysel has new owner
Meat processor Púchovský mäsový priemysel (PMP), which is undergoing debt restructuring, is changing its ownership structure. U.S.-based firm Digital Screen Network, with undisclosed owners, capitalized its claims and acquired a 61% stake. It already owns stakes in three other small Slovak companies. The U.S. firm was owed €8m by PMP, and capitalized half of the sum. The ownership stake of Anton Fabuš has fallen from 82.5% to 32%. After the changes, Jaroslav Grolmus became the newest member of PMP’s BoD. Until 2010, he was BoD member of another meat processor, Tauris, of Milan Fiľo. Fiľo denies involvement in PMP, though.
PMP is running at 70% of its capacity during the debt restructuring process, and covered about one-fifth of the Slovak meat and meat products consumption. In 2016, it had €76m in sales.
