Expected events in 2018
The key events in the Slovak economy this year will be the production launch at the Jaguar Land Rover car plant and the third bloc of the Mochovce nuclear power plant. The investment group Penta is expected to buy TV Markíza. Companies will still complain about labor shortages that will push the average wage in the economy above €1,000 a month. The government will respond by partial opening of the labor market to non-EU foreigners. Doctors will struggle with the new eHealth system that the government will keep debugging for several more years.
