Világi’s food companies are improving performance

The daughter of businessman Oszkár Világi (CEO of Slovnaft oil refinery) has been managing his food companies the past two years. Meat producer Istermeat has increased its sales from €6m in 2015 to this year’s €20m, and workforce by 50 to 130. Its slaughterhouse increased its sales from €0.8m to €10m, and the company is also investing into the production of own meat products. Világi also has farms, and these invest into pig breeding.

Dairy firm Euromilk has posted a drop in sales from €23m to €13m over the past five years, and its cumulative loss came to €5.5m, partly due to falling milk prices. It will post a small loss this year as well. It is investing into the production of yogurts and cheese.

Next year, his daughter will launch the production of wine in the family winery near the Chľaba village.
