ZKW is hiring instead of firing

Austrian car lighting and electronics firm ZKW plans to hire 150–200 workers at its Krušovce plant by year-end, Labor Minister Erik Tomáš said. In February, the plant announced it was considering laying off 430 of its 3,300 employees due to weak demand. (sita.sk) Last year, the plant doubled its losses to €125.8m, while sales fell 2% to €564.5m. Between 2020–24, it posted cumulative losses of €283m.
