ZF to invest €133m in Trnava
The Economy Ministry proposed an €11.3m incentive (tax relief) for a €132.5m investment by automotive supplier ZF Slovakia in an existing plant in Trnava. The plant will diversify into the production of 400- and 800-volt electric motors. The project is not expected to create new jobs, but the plant will retain the current 1,331 workers. It will add 20 engineers in the product development center. Clients for the new production will include Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, and Stellantis. The plant makes parts for internal combustion engines and reported €680m sales in 2022.
