Zetor Engineering to invest €28m in a new plant for tractor components
Zetor Engineering (Martin Blaškovič) plans to invest €28m in a new plant for the production of tractor components in Považská Bystrica, creating 350 jobs. It aims to start production in 2025.
Blaškovič’ HTC group, where Zoroslav Kollár used to be a shareholder, also owns a Czech tractor maker, Zetor. HTC, together with Rheinmetall, failed in the tender for the supply of armored vehicles for the Slovak Army. Four years ago, its carbon parts maker Elektrokarbon Topoľčany filed for bankruptcy. In 2020, it sold a bearing maker, Kinex, with plants in Bytča and Kysucké Nové Mesto, to an Indian company, National Engineering Industries.
