Volkswagen and Jaguar Land Rover are hiring
The Bratislava Volkswagen plant is hiring 400 people into car assembly in response to growing demand on global markets. It will increase wages 4.5% from September 1. The actual hiring is not related to the planned production of new models Škoda Superb and VW Passat. (trend.sk)
The Nitra Jaguar Land Rover plant is hiring 600 people and its supplier syncreon another 300. They employ 4,000 now. The plant is responding to growing demand for its Defender model by moving from 2-shift to 2.5-shift operation. It is also planning to increase wages in the fall.
