Stellantis is yet to decide about a new model for Trnava
Stellantis (formerly PSA) will decide on placement of a new car model in the coming weeks or months, says Arnaud Deboeuf, its Chief Manufacturing Officer. He would not specify the volume of investment or model. Slovakia is competing for the investment with plants in Spain, Serbia, Poland, and Turkey. Trnava benefits from the way it handles the production of the 208 model, including its electric version. Deboeuf, though, says the plant should step up efforts to improve quality and cut costs. The plant is discussing investment incentives with the government.
