Slovnaft allowed to buy Lukoil gas stations

PMÚ, the anti-trust authority, allowed MOL of Hungary, the owner of the Slovnaft oil refinery, to acquire the 16 gas stations Russia’s Lukoil has in Slovakia. However, Slovnaft will have to sell four of its 254 stations (two in Košice and one each in Michalovce and Prievidza). Slovnaft had a 40-50% market share in fuel sales in Slovakia in 2020. The Lukoil stations had €45.6m in sales in 2020.
