Slovakia will get 15 tanks from Germany
Slovakia will donate 30 BVP-1 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine, and Germany will provide Slovakia with 15 older Leopard 2A4 tanks in return, according to a military cooperation agreement signed by Slovakia and Germany. The Leopard tanks will significantly improve Slovakia's defense capabilities and help get rid of Soviet military technologies. After their delivery, the Slovak Army will have 45 tanks, which is the number recommended by NATO. It will gradually replace the 30 old T-72 tanks; it has no immediate plans to give them to Ukraine.
