Slovakia's TOP20 defense companies boosted revenue by 60% last year to €1.1bn. The growth rate accelerated sharply after the sector expanded by a third in 2023 and a quarter in 2024. Beyond the largest producers, mid-sized companies such as Kerametal, Glock, ZTS Špeciál, and CSM Industry are also growing fast. Smaller firms are faring worse, with four of the TOP20 posting a loss. Net profit grew "only" 40% to €193m, after rising by half in 2023 and 80% in 2024. Kerametal, which focuses on combat vehicles, tripled its revenue to €22m and saw profit multiply fivefold to €3.6m. Glock's revenue grew by a third to €39m, while profit doubled to €3.4m.
