Slovakia’s car output will drop slightly this year to one million vehicles
Slovakia’s car output will drop slightly this year to one million vehicles, estimates ZAP, the local automotive union. Last year, the output rose 4% to 1.030m. ACEA, the European automotive union, expects the EU’s car production to be a quarter below the pre-pandemic level this year, at 9.6m vehicles (last year it stood at 9.7m). The decline is down to supply bottlenecks and demand cooling amid inflation and recession fears.
