Slovakia is among the least innovative countries in the EU

Slovakia is again among the least innovative countries in the EU in this year’s European Innovation Scoreboard compiled by the European Commission. The five most innovative countries are Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, and Belgium, while Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, and Poland are at the other end. The ranking focuses on 32 indicators, such as research systems, government and business R&D investments, use of IT, training opportunities, and number of patents.
