Slovakia added 280 MW of new power generation capacity in 2024

Slovakia added 280 MW of new power generation capacity last year, 98% of which were photovoltaic power plants, data from distribution companies show. The Sapi renewables association expects a similar development this year. Over half of the new sources were added on company premises. Last year, battery storage sites with a capacity of 20 MW were added in the country.
